Dr. Dennis A. Fried is a Florida-licensed attorney and retired surgeon specializing in the medical aspects of civil litigation including administrative defense for healthcare professionals, medical malpractice, personal injury, and wrongful death litigation.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, he grew up in Philadelphia, and following college set out on a career as a physician. After completing medical school in three years at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Dr. Fried began a surgical internship and residency culminating with a colo-rectal fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He became double-board certified in general and colon surgery, and completed a 25-year career in surgical practice in Charleston, South Carolina. A graduate of the Charleston School of Law (magna cum laude), he relocated to central Florida while obtaining law licensure in both South Carolina and Florida.
Dr. Fried maintains an active medical license, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Fried’s non-business interests include sports, juggling, aviation (former certified instrument flight instructor), banjo and animal welfare rights. Dr. Fried and his partner, Sue, are pleased to share their lives with Maggie, a Springer Spaniel.
